Alumni

Victory Christian School’s alumni are an important part of the legacy of VCS, dating back to the first graduating class in 1974. The Alumni Council functions to keep alumni updated on current events, coordinate contact information, and encourage alumni to be benefactors of the school, to see its legacy of academic excellence and spiritual growth continue.

Announcements

Class of 1989 – Lisa (Merriam) Parker and her husband, Vince, are living in southern California where Vince works for Warner Bros. Studios.  He has several major films to his credit and Lisa has also done some script supervising.  She is now working part time for a small production company.  Lisa says “Hello” to all her friends at Victory.  Drop her a line at lisa@filmcontinuity.com! Class of 1990 – Amy (Williams) Cosentino and her husband, Jim, live in Fair Oaks.  Amy’s email is amyc1972@sbcglocal.net.

Class of 1991 – Cynthia (Dworek) Stauffer and her husband, Dave, write in with a new email: dcatm@insightbb.com.  Cynthia is working on completing a medical transcription course so that she can work from home.

Class of 1994 – Deborah (Mortensen) Sain and her husband, Stephen, moved to Riverside a year and a half ago.  Steve is coaching the women’s basketball team at California Baptist University.  They have two boys – Andrew (5) and Travis (3).  Deborah and Stephen just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in January.  You can write them at deborahsain@hotmail.com.

Class of 1995 – Jeremy Bluemel and Amy (Schuff), Class of 1995, announce the birth of their son Zachary Wade!  He was born on September 18th, 2005, weighing 8 lbs. 14 oz.  He joins his big sister, Abby (2 years old), and is such a joy to their family.  Drop them a note at jaschuff@accessbee.com.

Class of 1995 – John Strunk and his wife, Rachel, have temporarily settled in Groton, CT, for five months of schooling.  Rachel was due with their fourth baby in February.  Next VIV should have the “new arrival” information!  Their other children are Jack (5), Elizabeth (3 ½), and Aaron (2).  Write John at jrstrunk@yahoo.com.

Class of 1997 – Megan (Edenfield) and Ryan Marcroft announce the birth of their son, William Ryan.  William was born October 19, 2005 (9 lbs. 2 oz).

Class of 1999 – Erica (Gandy) Davidson married David Davidson in November 2004.  They have a seven-month-old daughter, Cali.  Erica graduated in 2004 with a degree in Public Relations from Chico State University.  She and David live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Erica is a copywriter for an advertising agency and David is a repo man.  Write Erica at ericaldavidson@yahoo.com.

Class of 1999 – Jerrianne (Lemon) Eckman and her husband, Shane, added one more to their family on August 11, 2005. Welcome, Connor Ray Allan Eckman (7 lbs. 5 oz.)!  Connor is a great playmate to big brother, Taylor, who is three.  Their email is jlemon05@hotmail.com.

Class of 1999 – Mark Forsyth and his wife, Emma, live here in Sacramento.  They recently bought a house and are enjoying life as a young couple.  They have two dogs and a guinea pig, which they say are growing up too fast!  Mark graduated in 2003 from Cosumnes River Junior College with an AA.

Class of 2000 – Blair Francisco and his wife, Normandie, were married on October 16, 2004.  They bought a house in Sacramento in January and have their first baby on the way – due in June!  Email Blair at WBFlair@yahoo.com.

Class of 2000 – Natalie Flint will be graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in June with a BS in Industrial Engineering.  Currently, she is working as a Product Support Engineer at Rantec Power Supply, Inc.

Class of 2001 – Jeremy Jones graduated from Azusa Pacific University in December 2005 with a BA in Physical Education.

Class of 2002 – Chris Ritter will be graduating on May 13th from Point Loma.  He’s been involved in student government as the Director of Student Ministries.  This summer he will be working in a youth ministry in Rocklin at a new church called Providence Bible Church.  His email: ritterman@juno.com.  

Class of 2003 – Nicholas Karpenko joined the US Air Force in November 2005.  He began his seven-week basic training in San Antonio, Texas, in January.
